Day 1: OUARZAZATE – TINEGHIR (240KM): ATLAS TRACKS, ROSE VALLEY, CANYON DADES, AND TODRA.

We are leaving today for Skoura, where the mountain track begins. This trail passes through some remote Berber settlements before turning around at 4100 meters to reach the Roses Valley and subsequently the Dades Canyon. Than road up to Tinerghir and visit of the Todra Gorges.

We stay overnight and for dinner in Tinerghir in local Hotel.

Day 2: TINEGHIR – ALNIF – RISSANI – MERZOUGA DUNES (215KM).

After breakfast, drive to Alnif, a wonderful trail that runs between the Djbel Saghro and the Djbel Ougnat mountains. Alnif is famous around the world for its fossils. After lunch in Alnif, we continue to Rissani, the capital of the Tafilalet province and the birthplace of the current royal dynasty.
We drive from Rissani to Merzouga over the Erg Chebbi desert. A decent hotel for the night and dinner.

Day 3: MERZOUGA – OUZINA –TAFRAOUT – ZAGORA (255KM)

Today we leave for Taouz in order to access the Paris Dakar track, which runs along the Ziz river valley. The trail will lead us to the Ouzina oasis, and after traversing sand dunes, we will arrive at the remote settlement of Ramlia, where we will face a difficult pass into the dry sandy river Rheris, and then a track between little mountains up to the top.
to Tafraout, where we will have lunch.

Then, after a few sandy passes, we’ll start on a dry lake.

Dinosaurs Valley is a barren sand plateau that runs the length of the Algerian border.
We can locate a large quantity of dinosaur bones here. Then we’ll cross a little mountain with only a few trees.
Before heading down to Zagora.
